Jimmy — Terms & Privacy
Last updated: October 2026
By using Jimmy, you agree to the terms below.
What Jimmy is
Jimmy is a workout tracking app with AI-generated coaching, workout, and program suggestions
powered by Anthropic's Claude models. It is a fitness tool for logging and planning exercise —
it is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice.
Not medical advice — talk to a real professional
Jimmy's AI features generate exercise suggestions based on information you provide (age,
fitness level, goals, injuries, and workout history). This information is used to reduce obviously
unsuitable suggestions, but the AI can still make mistakes, including suggesting exercises
that are unsuitable for your specific situation.
- Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have an injury,
medical condition, or haven't exercised recently.
- Only describe injuries and limitations that a doctor or physical therapist has actually
assessed — don't rely on Jimmy's AI to diagnose or clear you for specific movements.
- Stop immediately and seek medical attention if something hurts, feels wrong, or you
experience pain beyond normal exercise discomfort.
- You are responsible for using your own judgment about whether a suggested exercise,
weight, or program is appropriate for you, regardless of what the app suggests.
Assumption of risk
Physical exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. By using Jimmy, you acknowledge and
accept this risk. You use Jimmy, and perform any exercise it suggests or you log, entirely
at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jimmy and its creator are not liable for any injury,
loss, or damage arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to: injuries from
performing a suggested exercise, reliance on AI-generated coaching or programming, or errors,
bugs, or downtime in the app itself. Jimmy is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
Your use of Jimmy
Jimmy, including its design, code, text, images and workout content, is owned by its creator and
protected by copyright. Your invite gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use Jimmy for your
own training. You agree not to:
- copy, modify, resell, or create a competing product from Jimmy or any part of it;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or automatically extract its content or AI features;
- share your account or invite access with others, or use Jimmy to send excessive or automated
AI requests;
- attempt to bypass its access controls, usage limits, or security.
We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Your account and data
- What's collected: the email you sign in with, your workout history (exercises,
sets, reps, weight), and anything you enter in your profile or notes (including injury
information you choose to share).
- How it's used: to sync your data across your devices, and to give the AI
features context so suggestions are relevant to you. Your workout data and notes are sent to
Anthropic's API to generate AI responses, but never sold to third parties.
- Email use: your email may be used to contact you about the app, including
occasional updates — not sold or shared with unrelated third parties.
- Deletion: contact feedback@jimmyou.app
to request your account and data be deleted.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an
updated date above.
